Nasturtium Black Velvet

Tropaeolum x majus 'Black Velvet'

A delightful old world plant that is attractive in the garden and is also a colorful addition to salads.

Growing Tips: Plant in sunny position in well drained, limey soil. Also suited to large pots and even window boxes. It is a self seeding annual.

Position: Full Sun

Height: 35cm Width: 35cm

Lifespan: Self Seeding Annual

Use: Add flowers to salads, vinaigrettes, salad oils, pasta and use as a garnish. The leaves can also be used in salads. Both have a spicy watercress type flavour and are high in vitamin C.

Harvest: Harvest the flowers and leaves as you need them.
