SPECIAL QUALITIES- A classic cottage garden plant. Foxgloves look great in large clumps or in drifts under tall trees
FLOWERS-The lovely, tall, white flower spikes appear from mid spring to early summer.
PLANTS NEEDED PER SQUARE METRE- 5-6
HABIT- A clump forming perennial with large basal leaves and tall flowering spikes
POSITION & USES-Grow in sun or part shade and water adequately in hot weather. Suited to a cottage garden but also useful to add colour to shrubby areas.
CULTIVATION-Easily grown in any reasonable garden soil. – mulch around plants. Cut the flowering stem to the ground when flowers are spent. Pet safe snail baits may be required.
FERTILISING- Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed will keep it looking its best.
