Convolvulus Sabatius

HAT COLOUR: Mauve

SPECIAL QUALITIES:  A tough, attractive, evergreen ground cover or trailer producing flowers in abundance. Also known as Mauve Bindweed.

FLOWERS: The lilac mauve saucer shaped flowers appear profusely from spring to autumn.

PLANTS NEEDED PER SQUARE METRE: 1

HABIT: A vigorous evergreen ground cover

POSITION & USES: Grows best in a sunny position in a wide range of soil types. Use as a ground cover where its spreading habit won’t encroach on other plants. Excellent on a bank where it will put down roots along the stems, or trailing over a retaining wall. Also suited to hanging baskets and containers.

CULTIVATION: Easy to grow. A little fertilizer in spring will keep it lush. Cut off running stems as necessary and prune hard after flowering

FERTILISING: Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed will keep it looking its best.
