SPECIAL QUALITIES-  Characterised by showy, spidery flowers.  Useful for its rapid growth and delicate floral effect.

FLOWERS-Unusual airy, spidery flowers with long protruding stamens.  Ranging in colour from pure white through to pink and purple.  Summer flowering.

PLANTS NEEDED PER SQUARE METRE- 4

HABIT- Upright annual.  Fast growing.  Hairy and slightly prickly stems.

POSITION & USES-Back ground bedding plant.  Useful for mass plantings, cottage gardens, herbaceous borders and cut flowers.

CULTIVATION-Plant out in spring and summer in well drained but moist beds or pots with good quality potting mix.  Water well at planting.

FERTILISING-Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed in Spring and summer will keep it looking its best.
