Aster 'Professor Kippenburg'

HAT COLOUR – Mauve

SPECIAL QUALITIES-  These are of the most rewarding of all herbaceous perennials reliably showing showy daisy flowers year after year. Also known as Easter daisies and Michaelmas daisies they provide a good ground cover when not in flower and a generous display of flowers in autumn.

FLOWERS- Typical daisy – like in an attractive mauve-blue

PLANTS NEEDED PER SQUARE METRE- 5-6

HABIT- Forms an evergreen leafy mat that spreads slowly.

POSITION & USES- Asters prefer a sunny position. Plant at the front of a bed with other perennials or ground covers.  Frost hardy.

CULTIVATION- Easily grown in any reasonable garden soil. Fertilize in spring. Cut flowering stems to the ground at the end of the season. Divide if necessary after several years.

FERTILISING-Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed will keep it looking its best.
