Aloe Vera

Aloe barbadensis

Aloe vera is a stemless or very short-stemmed succulent. The leaves are thick and fleshy, green to grey-green, with some varieties showing white flecks on the upper and lower stem surfaces.

Growing Tips: Aloe Vera can be planted indoors or outdoors. Use well-drained sandy potting soil, a good quality commercial potting mix with extra perlite, granite grit, or coarse sand are added is recommended. Cacti and succulent mixes may also be used.

Position: Part to Full sun

Height: 55cm Width: 30cm

Lifespan: Perennial

Use: Rub aloe vera on sunburned skin. Aloe vera has anesthetic and anti-bacterial properties, which soothes the skin and helps it heal sooner. It also has tissue restoration properties to help skin heal without scarring. There are several aloe vera uses; however some of health benefits are: Cleanses and supports your digestive system, Infuses you with energy, Hydrates your skin, Soothes and promotes skin renewal, Supports your immune system. Aloe vera juice is a great natural aid to detox.

Harvest: Harvest when needed
